Ice Storm

An ice storm hit New England early this morning. It was a beautiful sight to wake up to but a huge inconvenience for the three million homes and businesses that didn't have electricity. We were lucky; we only lost ours for about an hour. I hear that some parts of Massachusetts are expected to wait up to three days before service is restored. It's supposed to go down to 14F/-10C tonight. Thanking my lucky stars we have heat.

Edit: Mr DH, who is on the medical reserve corp, has been called to help in shelters for those without heat. Keeping those folks in my thoughts.
