Great Tit

I went out this morning to get some atmospheric shots of the low cloud over the Eden Valley. Between locations I put my camera on the back seat of the car. Then, horror of horrors, when I opened the car door to get it I was on the verge on a tilt and my 30D rolled off the seat onto the road!

The battery door came open and the catch came off. I hadn't noticed the spring on the road so it wouldn't work when I tried to put it back together. Trying to take shots AND hold the battery door closed was difficult so I gave up.

At home, with the help of a piece of sticky tape on the battery door, I decided to open the window and do some shots of the birds in the garden. I liked the look on this juvenile's face!
