Shiny motor
We finally celebrated Tim's birthday properly today - by going to the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu (one of the presents I bought him last month). Tim loved it and I actually really enjoyed it too - looking at some beautiful old cars, but also reading the little snippets of history around them. The museum is in a beautiful setting, too, in the grounds of the Beaulieu estate. The weather was pretty atrocious (really heavy rain), but we did have quite a good explore - but had to give the monorail a miss, as the seats were dripping wet!
Came back to the hotel room mid-afternoon, feeling pretty tired out, so had a rest for a while, then went out for a delicious dinner - and a couple of beers - at the Fox and Hounds in Lyndhurst. Headed back to the hotel reasonably early and had an evening of Olympics viewing again - and thankfully an earlier night than yesterday.
