Dear Friends

We headed to Bradgate Park today to meet our good friends. Him Outdoors cycled the 65 miles - most of which was into a head wind so he was pleased to make it too late for the walking. The Teen and I went in the van and listened to music from the festival.
As we went into the park, this deer appeared to be keeping guard. We were certainly given noisy growls daring us to come closer! Beautiful though.
A good breezy romp up the hill made space for a lovely pub lunch and we sat for two hours catching up.
The three of us headed back, only to go out again almost immediately to catch up with another gorgeous family at my sister's. Her best friend and husband and kids were up doing university visiting for their eldest and her and our Teen have loads in common. Much wine consumed and laughter had.
