City Centre

A lovely sunny day to run the Newcastle urban orienteering race. The courses had been planned to take the runners through the most complicated bits of the city with walkways, bridges, university campus and multi levels. It was excellent. I opted to run the shortest technical course given that a week ago I had not been able to walk.
Stupidly, I did not take my phone with me so no photos on the course. Took this shot in the centre on the way to visit a former work colleague. It shows the lovely wide streets in the centre of the city which are a nice surprise and totally different to my idea of what Newcastle was going to be like.
