Hoverfly and Aphids

I spent quite a while this afternoon just looking for an insect (any insect) to photograph for my Blip today, but everthing was dried up and over everwhere I looked, it really feels like autumn has arrived already.
Driving along I was musing on the fact that whilst January and November are my least favourite months of the year, the last week of August comes pretty close!  So that's it, summer all but over and cold weather, dark evenings and dismal light all I have to look forward to....not happy! 
I did eventually find this tiny hoverfly, but I really don't know what it is, it is wee though, as you can see from the size of the aphids
