Gardens and views

So... part of the grand tour yesterday was going to the edge of the garden which backs out on to a canal like body of water, and this is the view of the weir which is not too far away! Incredible! The garden also had several very tall trees...

Today has been a getting things done day; first off, I returned the item I collected at Argos on Saturday. The sound from it was not satisfactory. Then into Specsavers to get my new frames adjusted; then to the shops to do a bit of shopping and finally, to Olivo for an absolutely fabulous meal. A very kind family let us have the bit of parking they had paid for but weren't going to use - it was for over an hour!!

Called in at Margaret's again to say goodbye as it was raining when she got out of the car last night!

It's GREAT that it stopped raining, but wow was it hot when we got back. Had to have a shandy and a little rest to cool down... and then G tackled some more of the decking, and I had to do some (yawn) ironing as we need to get ready to pack up and head back.
