Getting Old(er)

Mom and a friend took me out for lunch to celebrate my birthday.  We went to our new favorite place in town.  The sandwiches are (too) huge and we are always stuffed after we eat.  But of course, we almost always get dessert because they have an entire case of freshly made baked goods.  Usually, it's cannoli - but you can't really stick a candle in a cannoli!

When the owner found out it was my birthday, she broughtover an enormous slice of caramel pecan cheesecake with the lit candle.  I had warned Mom and Claudette not to sing in the restaurant and embarrass me.  So I simply made a wish and blew it out.

I ordered a new camera.  I rarely buy anything for myself, unless it's really necessary (like when my laptop and recliner each died), so I figured I deserved a treat.  It should arrive on Wednesday or Thursday.  The only clue I'll give you is that is a Canon.
