Long Tailed Tit

Suddenly it's winter!  Well according to my garden birds sightings.  WHen we get long Tailed Tits in the garden they are either in a flock foraging their way through - in winter or very rarely we see a single in summer.  Today I was sitting at the open window hoping for a blip of some sort.  Suddenly there they were, half a dozen on the feeders and in the bushes.

Carefully I reached for the camera and managed a few quick shots before they were off.  Not a brilliant shot but I wanted to record the event so here it is.

The rest of the day was spent beginning the task of pressure washing the paths to get all the green and mud (from the floods) off them before they become slippery in winter.
