Gesslerburg

A guided walk in the early afternoon to the ruins of Castle Gessler and a restored mill.  The castle features largely in the story of William Tell, who was being taken there to be imprisoned when he escaped and killed the Austrian oppressor Gessler.

A very hot day; when I got back I hung up my socks to dry.
