Liz
I was surprised to see this article today - I went to school with Liz and I do remember her, although she wasn't a best buddy. Nothing wrong in that, it was simply that she was in the other "half" of our school year which had an intake of around 250 pupils, so I guess you cannot know everyone, eh? So, as I said I was surprised to see her in a magazine (see extras for source).
At the time, I was sitting in the waiting room of a medical clinic waiting to see the medical staff after (warning: look away now guys...) a mammogram recall. For the first time ever, Mr A came with me, so I guess he was a bit worried too. As it transpired I had 3 further mammograms (particularly "ouch" ones), an exam and an ultrasound scan before... a cyst aspiration. Goodness me.
Well, I'm sure my Dad was looking out for me again, as the car park was rammed full with not a space to be had, until a young lady in (another) Mini beckoned to me that she was leaving and I was thankful to get her space.
By way of celebration, Mr A and I spent a leisurely lunch at the Red Lion in Shamley Green (the village of the Secret Life of Cats programme, if anyone remembers that from about 3 years back. See: Cats in Shamley Green )sitting under a shady alcove in the garden.
It's been particularly hot today (and I love it) so it was lovely to be able to sit under the still-warm veranda as it grew dark tonight with the thunderstom and torrential rain beating down. Simple pleasures.
Thought for the day:
"Inheritance Tax; - it is, broadly speaking; a voluntary levy paid by those who distrust their heirs more than they dislike the Inland Revenue." (Roy Jenkins)
