Neat And Teide

What an amazing day. We reached the cable car to climb Mount Teide dead on time after a 70 minute switchback drive from the coast.

Once at the top (well nearly, the actual summit requires a special permit and none was available until October), we walked for about 30 minutes to a lookout. I was finding it hard to breathe at nearly 4000 m altitude, but became acclimatised in time.

Needless to say, the views were spectacular.

Now it's time to get ready for dinner. We are all famished!
