A Day At A Time.

Los Abrigos

Today was what the travel agency itineraries call "a day of leisure", when they can't be arsed to organise anything for you.

For us it was by choice that we had a day to explore the coast near to where we are staying. There is not much there, except golf courses and hotels and the little fishing village of Los Abrigos.

The breeze has been beautifully cool and the temperature so pleasant that the 37 degrees we left in Spain is quickly forgotten.

In fact the south of England has been hotter than here by 1 degree. But we won't get thunderstorms followed by rain for the next eight months.

Dinner locally tonight and tomorrow we head for El Teide, the tallest mountain in Spain. And a dormant volcano to boot.
