Christmas is early this year!

No, your eyes do not deceive you! As I walked through Reception this afternoon, this pile of presents was sitting on the floor. All ready for a photo shoot taking place in the castle tomorrow for Christmas Cards.

Having arrived early in work all week, and still with the relentless cough, I decided today to take tomorrow off and deal with Mum,s stuff, ie take all 9 boxes to the auction house. This was the third attempt! Twice before the mission (which has to be done either between 10-11 or 3-4 due to roads closing during the day in a heavy pedestrianised area) has had to be aborted. I emailed to tell them we would be coming before I left work today and by the time I had got home received the reply to say that they were not able to hold the next auction due to bereavement and would email when they were open again. I forwarded it to my brother who thinks Mum doesn't want us to sell it all!

Fire Safety trains for two hours this afternoon confirmed my opinion that I an additional day off was in order, especially with the weather so nice.
