Oxford

A day out in Oxford. We went over this morning and quickly followed up coffee and cake (just coffee for W) with lunch at the Pieminister Pie and Mash shop in the covered market. We then visited the Pitt-Rivers museum followed by a visit to the 'Sunken Treasures of Sicily' exhibition at the Ashmolean. We rounded off the afternoon with a drink in the Randolph with a couple we met on our 'Pompeii' holiday last year and got on really well with. We'd not seen them since but kept in touch, and they were down from Wolverhampton for an event in Oxford this evening.

All in all, one of those days when you look back and think 'that was a really enjoyable day'.
