There is nothing like a Dame......

This photo is dedicated to all those people who have always felt a little different from all those around them. Not just different, but bigger, and taller. And perhaps not as fragrant.

We had a different experience today. A couple of years ago we bought a leather reclining chair. When we got it home we soon realised we had made a mistake; it didn't fit with our other decor or furniture and frankly, looked a little 'old' for us, like those chairs they advertise on daytime TV that help pensioners to stand up (this didn't do that, but you know what I mean). We advertised it for sale and a lady telephoned to say she was interested and could she come round this morning. I opened the door and there was an internationally respected Jazz singer and her American Blues singer/keyboardist husband who wanted to buy the chair for her mother, who is quite elderly but true Jazz Royalty. After a bit of trying out the deal was done, so tonight a bona fide Dame is hopefully enjoying her new recliner!
