FLOWER WITH SURPRISE VISITORS

Hi there everyone. I hope you have all had a lovely day.
My Partner, bless him, bought me a Macro lens that I wanted yesterday, and it arrived today. It is an early Birthday present. He knew how much I wanted one!! We couldn't afford the Nikon 105mm macro lens, but I chose the  Nikon 85mm macro. It is a Fantastic one too!!  However, all of the close ups that I have put on here so far, have all been taken on Auto with close up mode scene selected. Obviously, they have been really nice, but I want to try and do things myself now!
So I have been almost all day googling, and  experimenting with the dials etc. I have taken loads and loads of shots.....with lots of disasters!! I have the Camera set in Aperture Priority Mode, and I am doing Manual Focus. I am quite pleased with some of the shots. However, I am still struggling to make sure that I get it right each time!! I will need a lot of Practice! This shot was taken Hand Held.  Years ago, I knew most of all this stuff, as I had taken a City and Guilds Course. However, I have now forgotten most of it, so will have to jog my memory!  With some help from you all on here.
