Crows or rooks?

Couldn't go out so decided to do what people do and lay on swinging hammock reading.

Looked up to see these birds flying around in flocks, making very friendly noises. Really seemed to be socialising and enjoying themselves.

They say crows hang out singly and rooks in flocks, but not sure if that's so.
