Wild Wednesday ....

As soon as I saw this beautiful Monarch butterfly flitting around on our butterfly bush I knew I had my blip for the day!

In the late afternoon R and I went up to the West End Fair .... which is a tradition for us.  Typically we have gone on R's birthday (which is next week) but the fair has changed its times and it doesn't run over his birthday any more. 

We had a great time strolling around the fair grounds .... lots of interesting people watching!  We also saw a few free shows, which made choosing a blip more difficult. 

But I kept going back to this butterfly picture.  It won out in the end. I believe this to be a female as I don't see any spots on her back wings.
