Blooming marvellous

The office flower show took place today. We've had a very cool grey and damp Spring. And one of our most prolific contributors has moved into a retirement flat and no longer has a garden. As a former deputy chief agricultural officer he knew how to grow things and his onions were the size of small footballs. His leeks were 2 meters long from root to tip. And his dahlias and flowers were top notch.

So we were anxious over what the show would look like without his contributions. As you can see there was a lot if colour and quality. So we survived. It was great that Sandy and Beth were able to join us.

The section of the show which is growing is the craft one (and photography). There were some magnificent entries - best of all these knitted flowers (see extra).
