Shag Point
I'm not sure what these seagulls were looking at in the seaweed but they were really interested and had a lot to say about it. They weren't getting too close though and I couldn't as there was no way down to the beach.
This was taken at almost 2.30 this afternoon and was about the last moment of dry weather I saw. I guess that pink sky on the horizon is an indicator of what was to come - it was pretty weird to see it at that time of day.
I had plans of other points I might stop at to take photos but it has rained, and rained, and rained. I did stop a few times but it was pretty pointless.
The traffic was awful because of the rain - everyone crawling along, making a long drive twice as long. I was planning to drive home tonight but I'm more than 2 hours behind where I thought I'd be so I'm going to stop in Christchurch and drive home in the morning. Hopefully the weather may have cleared a little by then.
