Orbit

We were lucky enough to have a day in The Olympic Park. We watched Womens Hockey in the afternoon-a very exciting match between Japan and China. Then spent the rest of our time admiring the stadiums, park layout, gardens etc. Had our picnic lunch in the shadow of the velodrome. The whole thing was totally wonderful.
The feel of the park is enhanced greatly by the beautiful meadows that run along many of the paths and the waterways.
This photo is taken from The Orbit at about 6.30pm, and gives a great view into the main athletics stadium and across to the city of London. I am still buzzing this morning.
