Qualifying

We are in Spa Francorchamps for the F1 Grand Prix.

It was another hot day today.  Having scouted for good viewing points yesterday, at least we didn't have to walk so far today, but it was still blisteringly hot in the full sun.

Many supporters came dressed in outfits to show their driver, team or country allegiances. If you support the UK, it appears that all you need to wear is a Union Jack! (The cap and shoes are a sensible addition).

Enormous support here for the young Dutchman Max Verstappen, for whom this is the closest to a home Grand Prix. Every time he passed on the race track, or every time he appeared on the giant TV screens around the track, there were roars, cheers and flag waving from his orange clad fans.  It is a lovely atmosphere here.
