The Green Man

He's not really the green man, but he does have 'green fingers'.  This is Ashley from Future Forests who came today to finally give the conifers growing next door and bordering/shading our garden a severe haircut (the protrusions are ear-protectors). It has taken two years of wrangling with our neighbour to come to this agreement in which time the confers have reached for the heavens.  Ashley also reshaped the quince tree, hence the secateurs, to give the tree back its rounded look.  Next week he's coming to tackle the two trees growing in next doors front garden, a possibility of winter logs?  He and his mate did an excellent job, including all the tidying up and disposing of the off-cuts, we'll certainly keep his number to hand.

Incidentally, I came across a series on Sky Arts called Master of Photography, a bit like Great British Bake Off but more European Photographer of the Year.  I've only watched one episode so far, it's on catch-up, but I think I'm going to enjoy the series, the first one was in Rome, episode two is in Berlin.
