A long journey back from Edinburgh.  We set off about 0930.  We had various stops - a trip to "the big blue and yellow store" for a standard lamp - that of course resulted in various other purchases.  Then a stop for lunch in the borders, and 2 further coffee/leg stretch stops.  And finally a quick trip to the local supermarket to pick up some milk.  Arrived home at 2205.

Actual time spent driving, 8hr 25min.  Not a bad average speed, and pretty good diesel consumption.
