Red Sand Takeaways

Our route from Broken Hill to Wentworth was supposed to go via Menindee. Unfortunately when we arrived in Menindee we discovered the dirt road to Wentworth was closed due to the rains. We'd already driven on some. It was as slippery as ice. There was nothing else for it - drive back the 117 kms to Broken Hill, and re-route!

We did discover Red Sand Takeaways though, and I had one of the best meals I've had here in Australia! And served by a delightful local lady too.
