Texture and pattern
21C feeling very warm. Long sunny spells and no sign of the forecast heavy showers.
Maeve the Deerhound and I had an early walk again today to avoid the showers. Not a shower to be seen so far though and I see the BBC web forecast has been changed, so failure (yet again!) of forecasting. At least it got us out before it got too warm for Maeve's comfort so there is that for compensation.
Not so many people seen today during the early part of the walk, although the Fishermen's huts area was busy again. Clearly I miss a lot of the activity when taking Maeve out at our usual time after lunch. Valhalla had just moored and the red tractor was taken down to fetch the morning's catch and another group of people was getting ready to get one or two of the other boats out to sea. Today's blip is another revisit to the multi coloured rubber tarpaulin, looking more closely at the pattern of stitches that join two of the different textured colours :-)
On the way back up towards the main road I saw a group of women just coming out of the Panbride (new) church gate. I noticed that they had bags with some sort of thin exercise mat sticking out so there must have been an activity in the church hall this morning. Other than that quiet on the way home.
I did see a "tweet" this morning from "The Courier" asking assistance for the police in finding a man who's Alsatian (German Shepherd) had bitten a girl in Panbride Road Carnoustie on Saturday. Other Carnoustie blippers might want to be aware that this has happened. I won't need to tell you the dog was not on a lead! Sadly this isn't the only person to have been attacked by a dog recently in Carnoustie.
On a cheerier note ... I hope to see Sir Chris Hoy in the Olympic cycling on telly later.
Edit update: before 4pm ... Raining. Forecast now saying no showers until 6pm ... why do they bother :-)
