Ouch!
A very gray, humid day in Boston. We took our visiting friends off to the waterfront today, and had lunch there overlooking the harbour before boarding a ferry to Charlestown to visit the Navy Yard there. The National Parks Service runs an interesting museum there where you can visit the USS Constitution as well as a WWII destroyer, the USS Cassin Young. Unfortunately, the website does not inform you of the fact that in order to tour the Constitution, you must have valid photo identification. The only one with such credentials on his person in our little group was Mr. W! So we just slunk around the outside of the ship, and then boarded the Cassin Young.
This amusing billboard hearkens back to the days of WWII when the Navy Yard was a hive of activity, building all sorts of war ships for the Navy.
