Barcelona X
Last day in Barcelona - and stressful it was too! Lots of waiting (for Freddy and Charlie who'd stayed over a some Norwegian girls house), taking the bikes back to the shop, navigating Barcelona's crazy traffic and getting bus tickets.
In the end we arrived at the bus station with a good while to wait, so we chilled out in the adjacent park and relaxed in what was most likely the last bit of proper sun before we all headed back to the UK.
With half an hour until the bus, we were bored of waiting an strolled along to find where we'd be leaving from. We'd not have needed checking the signs - the last stop along was rammed with out-of-place looking white/burnt north European tourists with about 2 bits of luggage each, and more than enough to fill a bus - with only one in the nest hour, and catching the next one after that would result in a missed flight. Shit!
In true spanish style there was no rush, and no queue - a big argy-bargy to get a place. Luckily we all made it on, and soon were travelling in air-con comfort to Girona Airport.
On arrival to the UK, we were greeted by a thunderstorm that turned the runway into a river, and would have made a great photo if my camera had any battery left - everyone was wearing flip-flops, shorts and Ts as they ran through the rain. Made me regret not taking the dSLR even more. Oh well, lesson learnt.
Back to roast chicken and veg a'la mum, and nice to have Fay over for a wee bit so I can show her Bath tomorrow. Though I'm relegated to sharing my brother's bed. And I'm surprised she's not sick of me / any boy after spending 10 days with us!
