Barca IX

Jesus! What an awesome day! And what a city Barcelona is. I'll be coming here again any chance I get!

After seeing a sorry Marek off this morning (he only just caught his flight back to the Toon after missing a connecting train) we headed to town and rented bikes. Bikes make anywhere better, especially when you're getting to know a place, as you can bomb about and explore at ease.

And so we bombed it about the Park, the thin lanes of El Gotic and along the front to Parc dels Auditoris? and the pérgola fotovoltaica where this was taken.

Barcelona has to be one of the best places for skateboarding ever, and made me want to take it up desperately. Around the pérgola were loads of people running up and down the 1/4 pipes that were there as part of the port's design. Charlie had a go, and took a heavy fall and fucked his knee up. Impressive, and I (almost) caught it all on film.

Went to get Paella on the bikes in the eve, then out to the Pub to meet some of Fay's mates.
