Visited Keswick market this morning and after coffee went for a run to do a bit of a recce for Saturday's race. Because of last winter's floods the first part has had to be re-routed, and then re-routed again and the race is now 1.5k longer and 100m more climbing - help, I wasn't training for that!
At least it goes up a bit of path I didn't know existed but I gather the next section is very muddy - but there is the uphill boggy bit which is more wet than muddy so should get some of the mud washed off.
After lunch we took Mum on a drive up Newlands, down to Buttemere (and ice-cream) and back over Honister and through Borrowdale. It stayed dry but was rather cloudy most of the time.
