Old graves

As I didn't get my cycle on Tues I went out this morning from home and visited the old church at Tealing. It has been closed for a while and there is evidence of a bit of work going on on the roof but the graveyard is still in use. I found these 17th century grave slabs, one is detail of the left pic, another a bit of detail from the second slab.
In 1728 John Glas, then minister, left to form his own church, known as the Glasites. They had an octagonal church in town which is now halls for one of the Church of Scotland churches.
The rest of the cycle was on the country roads.
We went to daughter's for tea as it is grandson no 2's 9th birthday and went to see their new house whose keys they'd collected this afternoon. Quite a bit needs to be done but most not urgent.
