Mr and Mrs D'Silva
Today we attended the wedding of our friends, Nick and Corrie. We met Nick randomly as he happened to be on call when I rang the company he worked for when looking for a mortgage advisor. It was a long road for us to get a mortgage and finally buy the house and without Nick we would never have made it.
I sent so many texts to him I started putting kisses at the end without thinking and then had to delete them! Later on I just left them there. We always said we owe them a beer or two ( by now we knew of Corrie and their son Jack ) and did manage to meet up the once at a park with a children's zoo for Jack.
On the weekend we were due over for a fun filled weekend and guided tour of Liverpool, Corrie was too ill ... And nine months later they had baby Alice!
So, Nick finally got around to proposing, they've moved house twice, had a baby and organised a wedding, to list but a few things they've achieved in the last nine months.
We were SO honoured to be invited to their special day as there were only about 50 guests for the ceremony and Wedding Breakfast. The whole event was held in one place, Inglewood Manor, where we also had rooms booked, and we were free to wander about inbetween the main points of the day. Or in Sav's case, have an hour's sleep between the breakfast ( which was at 2pm! ) and the evening's entertainment of a disco and a barbecue.
Lovely people, lovely weather, lovely day!
