Tabarca Water Show
Today we have been over to the interesting island of Tabarca. The island lies a short sail off the Costa Blanca coast and is accessible by foot ferry only (no cars allowed) from various points but we go from Santa Pola. We sailed on a larger boat today which had the glass windows in the bottom so that we could see the fish in the harbour prior to docking.
There is a small beach which was very crowded, but the children didn't mind and got on with digging, paddling and mucking about in the water. After a while, Fay and I had just had enough sun and we headed for a restaurant and lunch - by now it was well after 3!!!
I persuaded Emily and Sophie to throw some water up in the air to make water shapes - they were happy to oblige!
Our waiter was clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer and we had to remind him several times for the children's chips and two more cervezas! I now have a confession..... we 'stole' the ketchup!
There is no ketchup at the villa and I am loathe to buy some for a couple of days... we did leave a decent tip as recompense.
Last day tomorrow so a trip to the beach (you know how much I love sand!) and time around the pool.
