I visited mum this morning. She was on very good form and enjoyed reading the mini beast book I'd taken in and eating chocolate buttons. She also had quite a long chat with Maisie! (Extra photo)

In the evening I went into see the umbrella event in the Freedom Festival. I've lived back in Hull for nearly five years and in all that time this is only the second time I've been out in the evening. I felt bad about leaving Maisie - especially as she cried when I left her. I've only left her twice before -  each time for less than an hour, but I suppose I need to get her used to it. I just feel guilty!
