Knee to Knee

Got on the bus to find it packed with high school kids from Roosevelt. They were nice and offered this Honored Citizen a seat. I've gotten over being surprised that I must look my age. The first time that happened on the bus, I was barely in my sixties and didn't get what just happened. I thought the young woman offered me her seat because she was getting off the crowded bus. I took the seat only to get off just two stops later. When I stood up and turned around to head for the rear door, as I thought she had done, there she was - standing right behind me! she gave me her seat because I was old! It shocked me. Besides, even all these years later, I bet I could take her at Pilates roll-ups or at least at tap dancing. Huh!
