Sunday

A grey and somewhat chilly Sunday called for a roast chicken lunch! And a look at some cheerful and bright flowers. This one is a zinnia, grown from seed.
Shortly before 5 pm we made our way to church for a Patronal Festival. Three of our group of 5 churches are dedicated to St Mary, so we gathered together to mark the occasion.
The benefice choir sang for us, producing a wonderful sound, and a young priest from a nearby college gave the address. Afterwards, we were treated to delicious refreshments while everyone had time to talk to each other.
It has been quite a weekend for our village!
