Busiest day
Possibly the very busiest day in my entire life.
Next doors roof fell apart (again) yesterday, and we was so glad we weren't outside, because we might have gotten hitted by flying pieces of metal. Anyway no harm done, to us at any rate. The roof was a different story.
So... the workman came back again this afternoon, and did take all the tiles of the one remaining side that still had tiles, and they did throw them all down on the ground making a hell of a racket, so me and Ern had to bark ALL THE TIME, which added to the general caco.... .cacono....loud noise.
The workmen have gone home now, having very artistically arranged a blue tarp, over just half the roof. I don't what happened to the other half, but if the wind gets up again, the whole sorry disaster will start all over again. and we are all praying that it won't rain, because them next door are really nice people - they just don't know how to manage workmen.
SHE said she would have sacked them long ago.
Anyway, apart from all the barking and generally running around, there wasn't time to do much else, and I could hardly drag myself around the garden with her.
But she is pleased because the broad beans have all come up. I don't know what they are, but if they make her happy, it's all good.
