Those were the days...
In 1968 I was given £1,700 to transform an impossible gatehouse at Loughborough University into a pottery studio. I was able to buy a kiln, a wheel, a couple of tons of clay & loads of glaze materials.
Plus - I bought this beautiful brush & enough white latex paint to make the place half possible!
With one or two exceptions, my students were terrible, & as a teacher I was fairly useless.
The job lasted a couple of years - then the money evaporated & I absconded with this brush.
Bad man - good brush maintenance...
