Big Tinies

Little son's 30th birthday present from us was a two day taster of an archaeological dig up in York. He loves Time Team and has a big interest in history. We couldn't keep it as a surprise because we weren't sure it was what he wanted (it definitely was!!) and we weren't sure he could have the time off work. The whole thing was organised months ago, booked for the 8th and 9th September. He and Kelly leave for York tomorrow straight after work. I Remember saying when it was booked "you will need some steel toe capped boots for the dig".

It was a surprise (and somehow not a surprise since Dan's nickname, often used by us, is "Mr Last minute.com") when this morning I got a text saying "Mum I need some steel toe capped boots for the dig!!"

Anyway, long story short, these are Dan's new boots. Ordered by me this morning from Wickes and collected an hour later.

I didn't know his shoe size but it turns out he's size 10. That seems quite small for a boy of his size. I'm sure he was in that size when he was at school! I've nicknamed these "big tinies" and blipped them for Tiny Tuesday.
