Chaotic day

Chaos at home today, with a new carpet being fitted in our TV room and carpet being stretched in our "posh" room. Furniture all over the place, nowhere to sit.
So I took myself outside with dusters and silver polish and set to work on my teaspoon collection. We travelled a lot with N' s job when we were younger and used to collect the little spoons as souvenirs until they became too expensive. There are several from Africa and others from South America. The European ones are very pretty. One of my most treasured is one presented to schoolchildren for the Queen' s coronation by the Borough of Sutton and Cheam.
It was very enjoyable cleaning these little treasures and remembering the places they represent.
Now the carpets are done and look good, and we have put most of the furniture back, but we have given up trying to get all the details back to normal. That's a job fo tomorrow.
