When I'm 64
Today is Ann's birthday, I asked her if i could disclose her age and she said it was OK. Hence the Liverpool break and the National Trust tour of Paul and John's childhood homes. The NT tour is the only one where you get to go into the properties and get a very interesting talk giving an insight into their early beginnings. The tour is limited to 15 people and the minibus driver gives a commentary on the way round pointing out areas of interest such as Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields and Ringo early residence. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Earlier we went to the Maritime Museum on Albert Dock which includes the Slavery Museum on one floor. This was incredibly moving and one leaves with an overwhelming sense of outrage and shame that anybody could feel they had such power over an other person's life.
We are really enjoying our Liverpool trip, it's a real eye opener as to the history and cultural life of the city.
