Grumpy cherub
We both had the reminder about the blood donation session in Leith, which is next week - but as it was going to be tricky for us to go then we thought we'd head up to the centre in Lauriston Place today. We even made appointments in advance and caught a no 35 bus (practically door-to-door) which would allegedly get us there 10 min ahead of time. As it was, the journey took twenty minutes longer than it was supposed to, which meant the missing first appointment and having to wait for another slot to appear half an hour later. So that was our afternoon. Hope someone finds the blood useful, though.
The bus driver had to contend at various points on the journey with 1 elderly lady with walker, 1 motorised buggy, 2 push-chairs and then an un-expected diversion to avoid Holyrood and the Parliament building which necessitated long explanations to angry customers who needed onward directions. And then at the next bus stop a party of approx 25 schoolchildren.....at least they meant there wasn't enough room for the roaring drunk. Maybe the diversion away from the Parly was due to Feorlean getting his nomination!
The grumpy cherub is above a doorway on North Bridge.
