Dome

This week has been the Heritage week on The Wirral and we have clocked up a few miles visiting some amazing new places. Feel slightly ashamed that we have never taken the time to visit them before. Today it was the Church of Ss Peter, Paul and Philomena. (Known by sailors as the Dome of Home as this was the building that dominated the skyline on the mouth of the Mersey. Once this was spotted the convoys were considered safe from the ever present threat of U boats. A couple of extras show inside.
