Meadow brown
Here is a meadow brown butterfly, seen out on Barton Farm late this afternoon. I thought it was quite appropriately autumnal - a small brown leaf - but what I really liked about him was his upright and slightly cheeky little face (can a butterfly be cheeky..? I'll leave that one to you).
Today has been a busy one requiring forward planning for upcoming social engagements (hoho!), so you can imagine how thrilled I was going to see my old gent this afternoon when he wanted to teach me how to 'drive' his electric wheelchair so I could take him out for a walk. I don't think I'm stupid, but I have to say the whole thing was fairly horrendous. How I didn't drive him into the stream or smack into a parked car I will never know. But he did so want to do it...
That's it for me. Now I must catch up with commenting (sorry). And thanks so much for your lovely reception of yesterday's robin - he has sneaked onto page 2 of the pops - just!!
Enjoy your evening xx
