Goathland Station
For our final outing on NYMR, we took the steam train to Grosmont and then did a circular walk to the next station (Goathland) and back. Our outward walk was over the moor and Arundel Hill, and the return followed the line of the disused horse-drawn railway between Goathland and Grosmont. The weather couldn't have been better, and the whole circuit was delightful. The journey by steam train at the start and end made a perfect day.
My extra photos show children watching the engine being coupled at Grosmont, and the engine preparing for the final trip of the day at Whitby.
