Eastern Amberwing

Perithemis tenera


I got an early start this morning so I headed to Lenape pond. There were four Amberwing dragonflies dancing on the top of the water and they were swift and graceful, like little tinkerbellboyos. The original photo was dreich in color, not at all befitting the three luminous fairies that I captured, so I helped to get it back to the otherworld where it belonged. Doesn't this look as if they're flying through clouds high above the world?

I'm going to try to paint the upstairs hallway this week. I'm actually trying for today, but I will probably find every excuse not to do it and a week gives me a grace period of which I'll no doubt take advantage. Sometimes I just refuse to get out of my own way!
