Beamish

Smashing day at Beamish open air museum. The weather was tremendous and there is so much to see and do there. We've been in a mine - which was still open and producing coal in my lifetime - and ridden a train pulled by a replica of one of the earliest steam engines. An open-topped bus and a couple of trams as well as plenty of walking.

We came back along the coast through Redcar and Marske to Sandsend and then over the moors to Pickering for a Chinese meal.
