Today's the day ......................... for a hill with a view

I will never get tired of looking at the views you get from Corstorphine Hill, to the west of Edinburgh.

It was a lovely warm day here today - and you could see all the iconic buildings of the city very clearly.  Further eastwards, in the far distance, was the distinctive cone-shaped hill of Berwick Law and even the faint outline of the Bass Rock in the Firth of Forth.

And closer at hand, looking in the opposite direction, there was another view (shown in the extra) that you might not necessarily expect to see in this part of the country .......................!
