shield bug

Yesterday, I tried to take photos, but there wasn't much time.  I had quite a bit of "Mom" duty.

We did take a little walk, however, to try to get our heads in the right place - and I brought my camera - didn't see anything until we got home and this bug was on the door frame.

This is one of those desperation shots that you don't have any confidence in  - and then when it gets on the computer, you look and think - that is actually pretty cool.  I wanted to get these leading lines - but I really didn't think it worked.  But now, I am happy with this shot.
